Something old, something new

Phew, how fast time flies by. Do you have the same feeling? I can't belive it's almost July already. Do you have any plans for the summer yet? Going anywhere?

At My mum's craft shop we have a new challenge for you this week - it's called "Something old, something new". This probably doesn't need any extra explination, does it? It's just what it says - we want to see something old, something that you have had in your drawer for a while, combined with something new, something you recently got or purchased.

This week are are sponsored by A day for dasies. They are generously giving the lucky winner a 12$ gift voucher for their store. They have really lovely stamps, so their store it's really worth checking out. The DT was lucky because we were given some of their stamps to play with.

My something new was a digi stamp and the papers, ribbon, lace and brad were my something old. The image was colored with Faber Castell and Jolly pencils. For the wings I used glitters. All the papers are from Provo Craft.

Lady with a bike

A friend of mine needed a birthday card and asked me if I could make one for him. Of course I said I could. :) He gave me the image (no idea where he got it) and told me that if possible, the lady should be wearing dark blue clothes and the bike shouldn't be colored. He left the design up to me. It took me quite some time to decide which papers to use (I didn't want the card to look boring), but I thing the result is pretty good. It actually turned out better than I expected to be honest.

I used papers from Provo Craft. Flowers are from Prima and the brads are from my stash. And so is the lace. As I already said, I don't know where the main image is from, but I can give you the info about the sentiment ("happy birthday") - that's the G studio clear stamp. :) The main image is colored with Promarkers, Faber Castell and Jolly pencils. All the dies (corner dies, circle and scalopped circle dies) are from Spellbinders.

Have a wonderful weekend!

One of the boys

That's the theme of this week's challenge at MMCS Challenges blog. Our sponsor this time is My mum's craft shop and you can win a £10 gift vaucher for the MMCS online store.

To tell the truth I'm always a bit nervous when I need to make a card for a boy. I always want to add lots of ribbons, flowers etc. but I know I can't. So I really had to try hard to keep this card "clean". lol I hope you like it!

I think this image is perfect for a boy's card. It's a Skater Ian Rubber stamp from The Greeting farm. I colored the image with Promarkers. The papers I used are from Provo craft. I also used some gold brads from my stash. I made the stars myself - I just drew them free-hand and cut them out. Simple, right?

Enjoy the rest of the week!

Male bracelet

I was challenged if I may say so. I was talking with one of my co-workers the other day and among other things we also talked about the jewelry I was making. He asked me if I am also making men accessories. I told him that I do this as well, but not very often. Then we talked about this for a while and I told him that if he sent me a few pics of bracelets he likes, I could try and make him something similar. And here's the result ...

This bracelet was really easyand fun to make so I will definitely be making more like it. It's called "hemp bracelet" in case anybody is interested in trying to make one too. There are quite some video tutorials on how to make a bracelet like this one.

Strawberries

Mmmm, who doesn't like strawberries? Especially when they come with whipping cream or/and chocolate. Yum, yum! I just ate a whole bunch of them no cream or chocolate added though. First I was going to use them for a pie, but they didn't last that long. Plus, now I got some blueberries (I LOVE those) and I think I will use those for a pie or some other cake.

A friend of mine asked me to make a birthday card for his friend. She loves strawberries, so he asked me if I could make a card with strawberries. I didn't have any strawberry stamps, so I searched the internet and I found this cute free Strawberry Shortcake coloring page on this site and I thought it would be perfect for the card I was going to make.

I colored the image with Faber Castell pencils and Promarkers. The green paper is from Provo Craft. I used Spellbinders' Fancy tags die. The happy birthday stamps and alphabet stamps are from G studio. Ribbon, butterfly confetti, crystals and doily lace are from my stash.

I wish you all a wonderful weekend! :)
