Photo inspiration

Hey hey! How are you? Enjoying your weekend? I had an amazing day on Friday (we went ton a trip) and now I'm taking a weekend off (meaning: I'm doing nothing but relaxing - feels good! :D).

A new challenge started at Yumi and Fumi Handmade blog today. This time we want to see your creations inspired by the photo below.

I decided to make another tag.

Again I used Fumi with gift stamp that you can find in the Yumi and Fumi Handmade store. Remember, you don't need to use Y&FH stamps to enter our challenges, but of course we love to see them if you have any. I coloured Fumi with distress inks and I added some glitter glue on the gift. To make this tag I used scraps of paper from my stash. Ribbon, pearl and gems are from my stash too. I used different punches and several different dies from Marianne design and Spellbinders.

I'd like to enter my tag to the following challenges:
Marianne's design divas: Anything goes (Marianne design dies I used: leaves and butterfly)
Through the craftroom door: Anything goes
Crafty sentiments: Anything but not a card

Happy birthday Denice!

HAPPY (belated) BIRTHDAY DENICE!!! :D I hope you got spoiled on your special day! I'm sorry because my post went up a bit late, but I forgot to schedule it (doh!) and I was away the whole day today.

But finally it's here. ;)

I have been using Fumi with gift on most of the birthday cards recently. I think it's just so appropriate (and soooo cute!). I colored the image with distress inks. The papers, ribbons, flowers, doily, crystals and brads that I used for the center of the flowers are from my stash. On my card I used my new butterfly border die from Joy Crafts, Cheery Lynn butterfly die and my border punch. I embossed the white piece of paper with my Crafts concepts embossing folder. Oh, and I used a piece of washi tape too.

Denice, I hope you like this card. Again, all the best to you!
Hugs! xx

I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:
Parade your crafts: It's all about birthdays
Stamp and create: Birthdays
Cute card Thursday: Pretty ribbons
Let's craft and create: Colour me happy
The crafter's cafe: Die cuts/punches

Purple power

Good morning! Can you believe that September is almost over already? Where did the time go?! Just a wee bit longer and Christmas will be here again. Can't wait, as this is my favourite time of the year! :) I need to start working on my Christmas cards again. But more about that some other time.

Right now I want to tell you about a new challenge that just started at Sweet Pea Stampers. This time we would like to see your purple creations. A nice and easy challenge, right? :)

I decided to use Ching-Chou Kuik's Fly butterfly stamp again. This was my first Sweet Pea stamp and is still one of my favourites.

I coloured the image with distress inks. On the wings I also added some glitter glue. The papers are from my sweet friend Charlotta (thank you Charlotta!). I distressed the edges with my scissors and TH vintage photo distress ink.  The ribbon is from Crafty ribbons and gems and butterflies are from my stash.I used my Spellbinders dies for the corner and the border under the ribbon and a friend of mine let me borrow her Sizzix flourish die. I also used my border punch.

I would like to enter my card to the following challenges:
A creative romance: Fairytale or winged creation
Designed to color: Anything goes
Bearly mine: Anything goes
Stampin' for the weekend: Fairies and fantasy
Simon says stamp: Anything goes
Sparkles: Fairies and/or butterflies

I hope you will come and play with us!

Christmas tag

Good morning! I hope you've been having a nice weekend so far. I've been staying inside most of the time and didsome crafting.

We have a new challenge for you at Yumi and Fumi Handmade. This time we want you to make a Christmas tag. December will be here before you know it so it's good to start stocking on your Christmas cards/tags. :)

Here's the one I made.

I love this tag shape, but have no idea what die is it. I received a couple of them with a swap some time ago. I kept the design simple because I wanted the image to stand out. The image I used is Fumi with gift from Y&F Handmade. I colored her with distress inks and I added some glitter glue on the gift she is holding. I inked the edges with my ink pad. The poinsettia, flourish and snowflakes are Marianne design dies. I embossed the snowflakes with Cuttlebug's swiss dots embossing folder. The gem I used in the center of the flower is from my stash. The papers are from Heidi Grace design. The Happy Christmas ribbon is from Crafty ribbons and the wool is from my stash.

I hope you will come play with us. Remember, you don't have to use Y&F Handmade image to participate in our challenge, although we'd love it if you did. :)

I'd like to enter my tag to the following challenges:
A creative romance: Dies or punches (I used both)
The rubber buggy: Anything goes
One crazy stamper: Christmas
Crafty sentiments: Anything goes
613 avenue create: Anything goes
Parade your crafts: Anything goes

Have a nice Sunday! Hugs! xx

Pure whiteness

I've been wanting to make a card that would be all white (except the image) for a while, but never had enough "courage" to actually go through with this. I knew that the only way I would "force" myself to do this is if there was a "white" challenge for which I *must* create something. So when it was my turn to choose a challenge theme for the new challenge at Crafty ribbons challenge blog, I decided to go with "pure whiteness". I really hope you like my choice and that many of you will come and play with us.

Even thought I have to admit I was sort of "scared" of this challenge at the beginning, I actually loved making this card. And surprisingly it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I'll definitely be making more!

Here's my card ...

I decided to make a Christmas card. I really should stock on these, because I know December will be here very soon. I only used white cardstock and white glittery paper here. I embossed the white cardstock with Cuttlebug's swiss dots embossing folder and Couture creations' Super powder puff embossing folders. The doily and pearls are from my stash. I used Marianne designs snowflake dies and Spellbinders' Labels eight dies. The white satin ribbon is from Crafty ribbons and you can find it here.  The sweet image is from LOTV. I colored it with distress inks and I also added some diamond stickles on the teddy's hat and snow.

I would like to enter my card to the following challenges:
Sketch and stash: Sketch (neglected stash - the glitter paper; I've had it in my drawer for ages)
The cutie pie: Cute Christmas in September
Natalie and Amy: Embossing
Cute card Thursday: Hip to be square
Simon says: Emboss it
Lily of the valley: Ribbon and lace
Totally Gorjuss: Anything goes
Crafty calendar: Bear hunt

Back to school

I can't believe September is already here and school started again. Where did the time go?! I sure wouldn't mind another month of summer - lovely sunny days, lots of free time ... But I will admit that fall has its charms too. ;)

The challege we have prepared for you at Yumi and Fumi Handmade this time is perfect for this time of year, as the theme is "back to school". I know that when I was a little girl I could never have enough of pretty notepads which I could then use in school so when I saw this challenge I knew exactly what I would do - alter one of those yucky boring grey notepads.

And this is what this same notepad looks now.

What do you think? Do you like it? I hope you do! I only used scraps of papers to decorate this pad. Also, as you can see, I didn't use any other embellishments except some ribbon because I wanted the image to stand out. I used the distress inks to color Yumi and I also added some glitter glue on her top (heart).

I'd love to see your "back o shcool" projects so I hope you will come and play with us! Remember, you do NOT need to use Yumi and Fumi Handmade image to enter the challenge, although of course we'd love it if you did. ;)

I'd liketo enter my notepad to the following challenges:
Wags 'n Whiskers: Anything goes
Really reasonable ribbon: Back to school + ribbon
The crafting cafe: Altered art
Scrap it girl: Back to school
ABC challenge: U for unlimited

Have a wonderful week!
Hugs! xx

Happy birthday Leanne! :D

The sweet Leanne is celebrating her birthday today. Yay, happy birthday hun! :D So we at Yumi and Fumi Handmade decided to do something special - a birthday blog hop. The whole list of people participating in the hop can be found at Yumi and Fumi Handmade blog. I hope you will stop by and check what my teamies made.

I decided to make a tag.

Isn't Fumi with gift perfect to use on a birthday project? I love this image! I colored her with distress inks and I added some glitter glue on her dress as well. All the papers I used on this tag are from Provo craft. Doily, sequins and rope are from my stash. I used Fiskars corner punch for the corners.

New challenge at Yumi and Fumi Handmade blog starts tomorrow - I hope you will come and play with us. Remember, you can make anything you want and you can use any image you want. ;)

I'd like to enter my tag to the following challenges:
Challenges 4 everybody: Anything goes
Addicted to stamps: Anything goes

Enjoy your day!
Hugs! xx
