Flowers galore

Heya! It's weekend again. Yay! :D The weather isn't very nice (it looks like it'll start raining any minute) so I've decided I'm not going anywhere. I'm just going to stay inside and do some crafting - cloudy and rainy days are good for something after all. ;) We have a christening coming up next weekend so I need to make a card and I have to catch up on my DT work as well.

Today I want to show you a card that I made "just because". I had some extra free time so I quickly grabbed my papers, stamps and embelishments and started working on a card. And this what I came up with.

I used some of my favourite things on this card - butterflies, flowers, lace, bling and the sweet Tilda. Tilda was coloured with Promarkers and I did the shading with Fabe Castell pencils. Paper is from Magnolia and most of the lace trims are from Webster's pages.

As you can see I went a liiiitlle bit crazy with flowers on this card. ;) Those flowers are from my stash and they are from different companies. The big butterfly and bling are from my stash as well. Behind the image I also tucked a small piece of cheesecloth. I made the decorative borders with Cart us border die.

Well, that's it from me today. have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs! xx

Shy little bee

Happy Monday everybody! I hope you had a lovely weekend and that you managed to squeeze in some crafting time as well. I had so much fun. My sweetie and I went on a one day trip on Saturday - we visited one of the old cities here. Even though we've been there before, we never knew there were ruins of a Hercule's temple. We visited those on Saturday (among other things). It's not too far from the city center and the day was perfect for walking around (sunny and warm).

Yesterday we just stayed at home and relaxed a bit. It felt good! ;)

I did get some crafting time the other day and the card I'm about to show you is the result.

A bright and sunny card. :) This was made for a special lady's birthday. But shhhh, don't tell her. ;) I finally got to use this adorable image by Mo Manning. Isn't it just too cute?! My printer is hungry again so the image didn't print out perfectly, but it wasn't SO bad either, so I was still able to use the image. But I need to remember to buy a new cartidge. Anyways, I was speaking about the image ... I coloured it with Faber Castell pencils and added some glitters on the wings. All of the papers, flowers, doilies, pearls and crystals came from my stash. On a piece of yellow paper behind the image I stamped with Faded text background stamp from Stampabilities. The lace is from Crafty ribbons. Unfortunately this colour seems to be out of stock, but there are several other colours you can choose from - and they are all fab. I cut the ovals out with Spellbinders dies and I did the embossing with the mpress and Anna Griffin embossing folders. The swirls are a part of one Marianne design die. The butterflies were made with my craft punch.

I hope your weekend will be wonderful.
Hugs! xx

Want a cupcake?

Good morning! How are you? I'm a bit tired, but fine otherwise. I've been home alone (my sweetie went on a business trip on Monday, but he comey back tomorrow - yay! :D) and I've had pretty easy week so far. I even managed to finish a book I've been reading for a while. The book is called "Wedding night" and it's from S. Kinsella. If you like chic lit and haven't read this book yet, you should. It's really funny. :)

On the creative side, I had a new card to show you. :) As you know Thursdays are challenge days at Crafty ribbons blog and this week we have anyhing goes with ribbon as theme so we hope many of you will come play with us.

Here's the card I made for the challenge ...

I got this sweet image as a gift from my friend (thank you bunches!!!) and I couldn't wait to use it. I just love it! I decided to do the coloring with Promarkers. I covered the bow in Anya's hair and parts of cupcakes with glitter glue. I had the perfect paper to go with this image - the blue one has small cupcakes printed on it. :) My MIL-to-be crocheted a couple of flowers for me so these pink flowers I used on my card are her work. Aren't they pretty? I glued the button in the center of the big flower and for the center of the smaller pink flower I used a pearl. The dies used on this card are from Spellbinders, Whimsy and Joy Crafts. I embossed the oval behind Anya with Craft concept's Cotage floral embossing folder.  Both ribbons came from the Crafty ribbons store. I used script ribbon and 35 mm wedding satin ribbon.

I'd like to enter this card to the following challenges:
Deep ocean: Distressing
Inky impressions: Flower power
Simon says stamp: Die crazy
Papertake weekly: Pretty pastels
Tuesday throwdown: Spring blossoms

Flowers and butterflies

Hey hey! I found my way to Blogland again. ;) We've had some beautiful spring days and I took as much free time as I could to go outside - to either go wandering around or just reading a book at the balcony. But I did squeeze in some crafting too. :) And the card I'm about to show you screams spring. ;)

See, I told you. Lots of flowers and butterflies - just the way I like it. :D I used LOTS of different embellishments on this card. I used flowers, lace, pearls, ribbon, doily and button (for the center of the bow). The butterfly is a Inkadinka stamp. I first coloured the image with Promarkers and then I covered it with glitter glue.

I also used several dies on this card. They are from Spellbinders, and I also used my new Xyron's frame 2 die (for the tag) which was a gift from my friend. Thanks a lot girl!!! Small butterflies were made with my craft punch and I used my peral pen to make small dots in the center.

It's a boy!

Hey hey! How are you doing? Good, I hope. I've been having a wonderful week so far. My sweetie and I went on a couple of short trips in the begining of the week. We recently started "playing" geocaching and at one of those trips I managed to find my first cache - yay! :D I was really excited. I hope to find some more. Then earlier today we paid a visit to his sister and her family. We had a bbq and a loooong chat. We haven't been able to do that for a while, so it was nice to catch up.

The other day a friend of mine asked me if I could make her a card for a baby boy. Of course I said yes. :) And here's what I came up with ...

I don't make baby cards often so this was a nice change. I used the sweet image from Magnolia. I think it's awesome! :) I coloured it with my Faber Castell pencils and I added some glitter glue on the wings. Papers  and all of the embellishments came from my stash. One of my New Year's resolutions was to do more "craft shopping in my stash" and I think I'm doing good so far. Even when I go to the craft store I just buy what I need (meaning: what I ran out of). Aren't I a good girl? I wonder how long will it last ... lol

Have a wonderful day/evening! xx
