Christmas sock

Good morning my crafty friends. How are you doing today? I had a very busy day at work yesterday and today is gonna be a crazy day as well, but after that I'll be able to relax a bit. I hope to be able to do some crafting over the weekend. I still need to make a couple more Christmas cards and I want to be working on those. Are you done with yours yet?

I enjoy doing Christmas swaps (either just card swaps, but also Secret Santa or surprise Christmas swap) and I'm always up for them, so I signed up for one of those on Facebook and the card you see here was made for my swap partner. I hope she will like it!

This card was also made for the new challenge that started on Crafty ribbons challenge blog today. This week we want to see your Christmas creations with ribbon and Christmas sock(s). You are probably wondering where is ribbon on my card ... It is there, I swear, I didn't cheat. ;) See those golden stars? They are cut from the Christmas ribbon - gold stars.

I coloured the image with distress inks and I added a lot of glitter too. Love me some bling. :D He he. Papers, doily and crystals came from my stash.

I hope you'll join our challenge. I can't wait to see your Christmas creations! :)

Have a great day! xx

Little bee

Hey, hey! How are you doing? I hope everything is fine with you. I had a terrible pain in my back over the last couple of days, but luckily it's getting better. Today I even managed to sit down for a while. Looks like all the rest and massages helped. Due to the back pain I couldn't do any crafting this weekend, but I do have a card to show you - it's a card I finished last week and I haven't posted it here yet.

On this card I used tons of those small leftover scrapf of paper that I had in my stash. In the past I had all of those in one big box, but a while ago I sorted them out by colours and since then I'm using them much more, so going through that huge pile of all the small and big pieces of cardstock and decorative paper was definitely worth it.

Image is from Mo Manning and I coloured it with distress inks. It's a bit hard to see in the picture, but I covered the wings with glitter glue and on the flower I used gloss gel for the shiny look. All of the embellishments came from my stash.

So much from me today. Have a wonderful day! xx

I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:
The ribbon girl: Use any image
Little miss Muffet: Anything goes

Sharing THE news and some candy :)

*****This post will stay on top til 7. November. Please scroll down for newer posts.*****

Hello everybody! Remember when I was teasing you a little (just a little ;P) with some news that I couldn't share back then when I was writing that post? Well, today's the day that I can *finally* tell you what that was all about. I will stop beating around the bush and just say it ...

WE'RE EXPECTING A BABY!!!! :D :D :D

Can you tell that I am excited? lol It was sooooo hard to keep this for "myself" (of course our family and some friends knew before, because my baby bump is getting pretty big lol). I wanted to tell everybody as soon as I found out, but we decided to wait for the ultrasound to see if everything is ok. And I'm happy to say that everything looks great so far. :) The due date is in the middle of February and apparently we are having a baby girl. :)

So ... I couldn't possibly share this info with you and not offer some candy along with it, right? ;) So I put together some crafty goodies that you can win. There are 2 candies to be won. Since this happy post is all about the baby, there's one small baby candy, and because Christmas is not far away and because that's my favourite holiday, I decided to give you a chance to win some Christmas goodies as well. :)

This is a baby candy.

Since we are expecting a baby girl I added all those girly thingies in the candy - flowers, a pack of butterfly embellishments, lace, butterfly ribbon, adorable Penny Black rubber stamp, K&Co dimensional stickers in pink (of course :P) and baby library pocket with insert card.

And this is the Christmas candy.

This contains some beautiful chipboard tags, poinsettia stickers, Paper smooches Christmas stamp set (Joyful greeting), a pack of red brads, cute Christmas robin ribbon and C. C. Designs spring stripe stencil. I know it says "spring" in the stencil name, but I think this stencil is very versatile and really pretty so it can be used all year long for any occassion.

I know some people don't celebrate Christmas and if you are one of them and therefore don't want to be in the draw for the Christmas candy, please just mention this in the comment. Otherwise I'll pick the winner of Christmas and baby candy randomly.

And what do you need to be in the draw for the candy? Not much really ... Just leave your name with Mr. Linky and share one of the candy pictures above on your blog. That's all. You don't have to be a follower, but of course feel free to join my blog if you fancy what you see here. :)

Candy will close on November 7.

Have a wonderful day! :) xx

Purple for Christmas

Hi everybody! How are you doing? I'm good, just tiiiiired. I haven't been sleeping so well over the last couple of days; hopefully this will change soon.

A new challenge started at Crafty ribbons blog today and this time the theme is "Monochrome Christmas" (+ ribbon). I find monochrome theme quite challenging to be honest. I was thinking about what colour to choose for this challenge and I decided to go with purple - something a bit different, not the traditional Christmas colour.

I used different scraps of purple paper from my stash along with the gorgeous morlaix lace and clermont lace that are available at the Crafty ribbons store. I also used wedding satin ribbon from the store. To make the ribbon more "interesting" I stamped over it with a snowflake stamp. the main image I used on this card is a rubber stamp from Hero Arts. Unfortunately it's very, very hard to see in the picture, but I covered the trees and parts of the snow with glitter glue. Then I sprinkled some frantage all around the image. A the end I glued some sequins around the card for some extra bling.

I hope you'll come play with us. I would love to see your monochrome Christmas creations! :)

Also, don't forget to enter my candy, it ends in 2 days.

Have a wonderful day! xx

Festive florals

Hey, hey! How are you doing? I had a wonderful week - I had the whole week off and therefore I could relax and do all the things I like doing. :) We went on a couple of short trips, did some baby shopping and I did some crafting - once for a change I'm ahead of things. ;) Yesterday we went to a "Halloween" party as well. It was fun. Until this year we were the ones organizing it, but this year we have a lot on our plates so we were glad our friends decided to take the organization in their hands. As I said, it was a lovely week, but it went by too quickly. Did you have (or went to) a Halloween party?

Now that the scary part of the year is behind us, we can focus on the magic of Christmas. ;) I'm working on my Christmas cards and I'm feeling pretty organized as it looks like I won't have any of those "last minute" cards to make. Christmas gifts are a whole other story though ... *ooops*

Anyways, I was asked to be a guest deigner at the Stamping sensations blog and I gladly accepted the invite - thank you Brenda for having me! :) This month the challenge is "Festive florals" and we hope to see lots of your wonderful festive creations.

Here's what I made for this challenge ...

I decided to go for a bit vintage look so I inked up one of the Stempelglede stamps that I like a lot. Again I used a lot of leftover scraps of papers from my stash on the card. All of the embellishments came from my stash as well. I made the flowers myself using the La La Land poinsettia die. On the edges I added some glitters to add some extra bling to the card. :)

I hope you like this card and that you'll join us with our challenge at Stamping sensations.

Have a wonderful day! xx
